ALUMNI INFO
Ann (Lynett) Lambert (1985)

FAMILY
Husband : Michael
Michael and I met on Old Mission Pennisula at the Roadhouse Restaurant in 1996. We were both in "transition" with our career paths. We actually had been crossing paths since 1989 and did not know it. Mike grew up in Traverse City and had lived in Breckinridge Colorado with a few fellow OHHS friends (you know who you are class of '83). I had been living in Traverse City and had become friends with his high school buddies. Everything just clicked when we finally sat and talked to each other. I guess it was meant to be. Timing in life is everything.

We have no children but we do have a 90 pound Alaskan Malamute with ADD/ADHD (if that counts). We have lots of neices and nephews to spoil then return them to their parents. We spend much of our time with family. All of us managed to return to Michigan except for Michael's youngest brother who lives in Colorado.

EDUCATION / EMPLOYMENT / EXPERIENCES
1985 - 2007Received my BS from Central Michigan University in Speech and Language Pathology with a double major in Psychology. I spent two summers working with my sister in oil and natural gas exploration one in Bellighan, WA and Jackson Hole, WY. I did not go on to get a Master's (oops) and fell in love with Traverse City. I accepted a position as an account executive with Actmedia of Connecticut and worked at DSI logistics management in Traverse.

After figuring out that I was not a business woman I decided to go into the 'helping' professions and became a Registered Nurse (1996) specializing in Oncology at the Barbara Karmonos Insititute in Detroit. The hours were long and difficult and I loved it until I started to burn out. Took some time off in 2000 and married Michael in October. Then I found a position with the Red Cross in donor suitability and coordination. Then came September 11, 2001 and my career with the Red Cross took a major turn. In the mean time Michael had been working as the lead design modeler for an engineering company in Novi/Northville. We lived in White Lake until 2004 when the auto industry took a dive and work was contracted out of the United States. We grabbed the opportunity to head back north towards Traverse and settled on Big Rapids. We are still in Big Rapids where I am working as a Registered Nurse Consultant for Community Mental Health for Central Michigan (I know what you are thinking). Michael is working at a local automotive engineering facility.
