Wife : HeatherHeather and I were married on November 15, 2003. She is an RN at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in labor and delivery. Daughter : Abby GraceAbby was born on January 22, 2006. She spent her first 6 days in the NICU with a collapsed lung, but all is well with her now. |

| 1998 - 2002 | I was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. While assigned to 2D Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2D Marine Division, Marine Forces Atlantic, Camp Lejeune, NC. I served as the Battalion Police Sergeant. This assignment included the security of all battalion buildings and the maintenance of all these buildings. Before being discharged I earned the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, the Humitarian Service Medal, the National Defense Medal, two letters of appreciation and was a second award rifle expert. | | 2002 - 2003 | I attended Coastal Carolina Community College and studied emergency medical science. I didn't finish my degree but at least I got my EMT certification. | | 2002 - 2006 | I attended Cape Fear Community College and studied fire rescue. Over four years I obtained my firefighter level 2, rescue technician-vehicle and machinery extrication, hazardous materials operations, and driver operator-pumps certifications. | | 2003 - 2006 | I was an EMT with Pender EMS & Rescue in Rocky Point, NC. I was responsible for assisting a Paramedic with the emergency medical care of Pender County residents. | | 2004 - 2007 | I was a firefighter/apparatus operator with New Hanover County Fire Rescue, in Wilmington, NC. I served as an engineer on an engine company, and as a rescue technician on a truck company. We responded to an average of 1300 emergency calls per year, consisting of fires, alarms, traffic crashes, and medical runs. I earned the medical lifesaving medal for assisting in the saving of a mans life following a traffic crash. | | 2007 - 2009 | I am working at Lowe's Home Improvement in Wilmington, NC. |
