Quick update (posted by Vicki Smith on 01-18-09)
After Graduation I attended Kirtland College for Commercial arts and Design. I moved to Saginaw in 83 and got married in 84. I have had my own business customizing cars and boats for 18 years and worked for a company that built vans for handicapped people. I have been divorced now going on 12 years. When I was going through my divorce I went back to college to become a Certified Medical Assistant-Clinical. I have worked for St. Mary's Hospital, Field Neuro Clinic and Multi care Specialist (orthopedic Surgery) all in Saginaw, I moved to Detroit area in 2000 and worked for another Orthopedic Surgeon group. I decided I did not like the increase in the hecticness of life there so I came back to Saginaw in 2001 after which I decided to move back up to Rose City for a better and safer place for my Son to grow up. I continued my education to obtain my LPN by then and obtained a position with Primary care practice. In 2003 I went back to college to complete my RN and in July of 2003 I obtained an injury to my neck that ultimately ended my career. I returned to college in 2006 to obtain my degree in Early Childhood Education but I am now on permanent disability as a result of my injury. It has been a long road but the best part is my life is my Son. I have also been thankful I have been able to Home school my Son for the past 3years. On occasion I write articles at times for the local paper and also help with the reading program at the Ogemaw District Library. I have designed and published a news paper for kids and have had the opportunity to have some of my poetry published. I really miss working in the medical field but I have plenty of other things to keep me busy and am very thankful I am able to have more time with my Son instead of working 90 hours a week, lol. I hope this finds you all well :). | (posted by Lon Thompson on 01-06-09)

Hey just wanted to update everyone that I am currently serving in US. Army and have been to Afghanistan and Iraq on several tours and leaving soon again for Iraq. If you need or would like to get ahold of me you can reach me at thomas.mahal@us.army.mil or SGTMahal@yahoo.com. Sorry I missed our reunion but I was serving in Afghanistan at the time, Hope all had fun wish I was there but had to do a little work of my own. Later! | A Huge Thank You! (posted by Jackie Straub on 08-09-07)
A huge thank you to all that coordinated the reunion, I had a blast. Altho I didn't have nearly enough time to visit with everyone, it was great to see ya'all! I was so pleased to see everyone looking so good & healthy! If I stared too long at someone, oh say Mike Halstead, it was just that I didn't recognize everyone after all these years, what was really upsetting is that Mike didn't remember me. Hah! Thank you for the picture postings at Walmart too, when I looked thru them, I couldn't stop laughing, just like the night of the reunion. I plan to continue on with this website too, so if anyone plans another reunion, in oh say 5 years, please post it here.
Great seeing the class of 82 still strong after all these years! | Reunion... (posted by Betsy Miner on 08-02-07)
I agree with Barb 100 percent. It was a total blast - and more fun than I anticipated. It was really interesting hearing what everybody is up to in life and, I gotta say, we're one good looking bunch for 43!! Finally, what does it say that the class of 1987 crashed our party because theirs was boring? Yah, we might have been the class lacking in spirit in 1982, but we've rallied nicely.
Thanks again to Karyn, Mark, Mike, Rob, Mary and everybody else who pitched in. Oh, Gary, thanks for the pig!! | Reunion (posted by Barb Barror on 08-02-07)
Wow I had such a great time! Sure didnt seem like 25 years. Thank you to everyone that came, and to all who helped set it up! Wish it was an annual event! There were so many people that I didn't manage to catch up with, I hope we don't have to wait another quarter of a century to meet again! I really think everyone looked great and were in great spirits! Lets get more people registered on here and let's keep in touch! | (posted by Jerome Oswald on 07-29-07)
Met Carrie in Dec 2002 and got married in Jun 2004 in Quantico VA | Where did 25 years go? (posted by Robin Meier on 07-26-07)
I have really enjoyed reading the info on everyone. Was hoping to see some more pictures though. They were great and proof that we all have been busy. Keep the info coming and looking forward to the reunion. | Horses Horses Horses (posted by Barb Barror on 07-26-07)
Yeah I am still into horses. I am currently leading the State in the Michigan Reining Horse Association's Rookie division. 4 shows to go! I love reining and love working cow horse classes too. We are down to two horses and kinda looking for an nice small old lame pony for Colton to learn on. :) | (posted by Wendy Fisher on 07-01-07)
My husband and I have been in the Gaylord area for 10 years now. We get back to the W.B. fairly often as we both have family there. I have been self-employed for about 15 years now and still like what I do. We're trying to get out on the bike when we can now that the weather is nice. |
